Research at the Washington County Historian’s Office
The Washington County Historian’s Office is
located on the first floor of Building “A” in the Washington County Municipal
Center at the rear of the County Clerk’s Records Room. The Office is open to the public on
Wednesdays and the hours are 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The research material is available through volunteers who are
knowledgeable in genealogical searches.
Researchers can request a “genealogical
search” through the mail, but not by
e-mail. To order, send a written
request detailing what information you are seeking, a Self-Addressed Stamped
Envelope, and a non-refundable $15.00
check or money order made payable to the “Washington County Treasurer”
